I was unsure of my personal brand. I had no idea how to get my feet back on the path to success. My failures were not inspiring me at all. I had unrealistic expectations of the road ahead. I was just wandering about without having a true direction.

Attending The Captivating Career Blueprint 6 weeks Professional Development Training allowed me the ability to find my voice again. To Bounce-back with clarity and understanding on how to build and sustain MY Brand going forward. Prior to joining Joyce's class, I was unemployed, frustrated, embarrassed and depressed. I had been told NO so many times by company's that I figured perhaps it was time to throw in the towel. Then one day, I received an invitation from Joyce asking me to attend one of her seminars. It was life changing and exactly what I was looking for. I immediately signed up to attend her 6 week Professional Development Series.

I’ve been working in the banking industry for over 20 years. I’ve always considered myself a go getter and I worked extremely hard to learn and transition into teams and roles that piqued my interest. However, over that last two years I felt burned out. For the first time in my career I was in a place that I felt my job was above my skill set. I was stuck and not sure what to do to turn things around. So, I signed up to get that “go getter” spirit reignited.

I joked with Coach Joyce that this felt like therapy.To complete the workbooks, you have to sit down and be honest with yourself. It promotes you to truly think about what makes you happy and what doesn’t. Then there is a call to action. If you aren’t happy what are you going to do about it? I now have the tools, resources and a path that will ensure my success.

Before working with Joyce, I did not receive any responses from sending my resume out to different companies; going to job fairs prove to be a waste of time. I think now companies were just throwing my resume away. I was not given a 2nd look and certainly no interviews. I thought my resume was good because it led to 4 offers previously.

After meeting Joyce and completing my breakthrough session, I decided to invest in myself. With Joyce’s coaching I changed my approach to my job search. I updated my resume to a 21st century professional resume. Joyce shared with me that conducting a job search was a full-time job. Using the techniques that Joyce taught me and taking a more strategic approach to my search increased my overall results. I also Learned how to prepare for an interview- using the job description VS skill matrix and how to negotiate the total compensation package. I’m happy to say that I landed my dream job!

After a few months of working with Joyce, that unfortunate day came.  I was called down to a conference room and told my job was eliminated.  I could not believe what was happening “ME” not apart of team anymore? When I returned to my desk my mind was going a mile a minute what was I going to do. The first thing I thought of was JOYCE!!! Call her now and tell her what has transpired.  I was grateful that I was already working with Joyce, to hit the ground running in my job search efforts.  My advice to everyone,  utilizes this time to wisely, analyze where you are and where you desire to be before the unforeseen happens.
